1)Bent Four in the Corner
In Figure 6, the Black group is
dead independent of the number of Paegam, because of the
strength of Whites claim. |

2)Bent Four in a Capturing Race
If Black's large chain is not alive and
the situation persists until the end of the game (as in
Figures 7 and 8), Whites groups are deemed
to be dead because of Blacks strong claim. |

3)Pae (ko) with large and small eyes
in a capturing race
In Figure 9,
Whites groups are dead because Black has a chance to
capture while White has no hope. |
